Next button delay with accessibility

Nov 18, 2021

Is there a way to delay the next button for 10 seconds, but still have it show up for a screen reader? When the initial state of the next button is hidden or disabled, it doesn't show up for the screen reader using the tab button. A transparent white blocker box doesn't work either.

Hello Sarah!

You can set the next button to change states at the 10-second mark on the timeline; however, there is a possibility that a screen reader user might navigate through the entire slide and miss the next button. Instead, you might consider setting the next button to disabled and then changing it to the normal state so a screen reader user can still recognize there is a next button.
