Do you have your the menu set to Locked or Restricted? If so, in SL2, the next button doesn't become active 'until the timeline ends' on the slide. Check one of your slides and change the timeline to be short to test it.
If you need the restricted menu here is a workaround for you

Are you able to upload your .story file so we can take a look at what is happening.
I can, but can you specify which file I should send? Is it the story html?
Attach the Storyline file (.story). In other words the file you open to work on the project.
Also, when you reply via email your signature shows on the forum. You can edit the post to remove it.
