Next Button is not disabled and triggers have been added

Feb 10, 2022

Hi all,

I am creating an interactive where each button needs to be clicked on for the Next button to enable. I thought I added all the correct triggers/variables based on courses I have created in the past, but this time it is not working. I am able to click the next button from the start even though I added a trigger to disable it.  Help. What am I doing wrong? The page is titled "Checking Color Code"

File attached.

I moved the "Change state of Next button to Normal" trigger from the Base Layer to each of the Slide layers (because you don't "return" to the Base layer from any of the Slide layers, so that trigger would never fire) and removed the "Change state of Next button to Disabled" trigger and the "Change state of Next button to Normal after 3 seconds" trigger from the Slide Master, as they were throwing everything off. See if this now works the way you want it.

I copied exactly what you did and it is not working.  I just don't understand it!

When you say, "removed the "Change state of Next button to Disabled" trigger and the "Change state of Next button to Normal after 3 seconds" trigger from the Slide Master, as they were throwing everything off." Do you mean base layer, or did you really mean slide master?

I really do mean the Slide Master. If you View your Slide Masters, there are 2 triggers related to the Next button on the Master Slide. I deleted both of them from the version I uploaded.

Note, I also reset the Slide Properties of the slide in question to this:

and changed the Slide Layer properties of its 4 layers to this:
