I have created a question bank. Then i did draw from bank and did all the changes required. So my final output has a Instruction slide as the first slide then draw from bank and then there is a result slide. once i publish its running also but to go from the instruction slide to the question bank i have to press "NEXT" 3-4 times. This can confuse the user. Please help.
are you using the SL player with default next / prev buttons and is your menu set to 'restricted' - if so...the next button does not become clickable until the timeline ends - so if you can reduce the timeline that will help otherwise I would disable the next button so the user doesn't try to click on it then trigger to normal when timeline ends.
Actually i have only the next button for the first slide which moves to the Question Bank and the menu is set to "Locked". There is a time limit for the Question bank but i think it should not affect the first slide as it is not a part of question bank.
Anyways for now i am removing the next button and using a trigger as you said.
I have a new problem. I am not bale to get the result as per the quiz. For every attempt the result slide shows the marks correctly but displays the success slide for every score.
on first look you have the questions in a scene and the questions in a QBank however in your results slide you don't have anything selected to report on
You need to select the QB or each individual question that's why the result isn't reporting correctly. If you want the questions to be randomly drawn then use the QB.
Sorry Wendy but its still not on working. I have also unchecked the 'Submit' button and kept only 'Next' button. Sadly both are not working.
PFA the screenshots for your reference. One shows that i have selected only 'Next' button and removed the feedback from the quiz slides and the other one shows the output that is just the opposite.
Hi Leslie, Wendy has been of great help so far but i am stuck at the last point.
In my first slide i.e. the instruction slide i just want the "NEXT" button but i have to click it 2-3 times before it goes to the next slide which might confuse the user. I can keep a trigger but i have been asked to keep the next button.
Second problem is that i don't want the correct/incorrect response slide for the quiz questions. Even though i have selected the Feedback as None the response slide still pops up.
re Next button on opening slide - it is because you have the player menu set to locked - the next button won't become available until the timeline ends - in your case 8 secs. If you reduce your timeline to say 1.5 or 2 secs, you will notice after that time you can select the Next button
looking at your question bank - I would remove the instruction slide as you are doubling up. Also the Option Feedback by question is selected for the first question slide that I visited in the bank - that is why you are seeing the feedback popup when they click submit
I think because you have the question bank with all the questions PLUS a scene with all the questions that you are confusing which one to make changes to. Once you have the questions inside a bank you don't really need to keep the questions in a scene as well.

Thanks once again. :)
Great news Vivek!
Hi Wendy i have new query for for you and i hope this would be the last.
I don't want the user to know whether his/her answers were right or wrong.
Is it possible to remove the correct/incorrect responses from the quiz slides?

Hi Vivek
In the results slide choose the options tab and deselect the 'show correct/incorrect responses when reviewing.
I have already unchecked that Wendy.
Where are you seeing the correct /incorrect responses? are you having immediate feedback popup after each question is answered?
If so, go to each quiz slide > Design tab and select None from the feedback dropdown list.
I am deleting the right/wrong answer slides!
Ohh sorry i saw your reply now. Thanks a TON Wendy :)
No worries Vivek - glad you sorted it out.

Hi Vivek
I don't understand what you are trying to achieve by deselecting the Submit button and adding the next button?
Can you please supply more information of how you want the quiz to work
Hi Vivek! An updated file with what you have been working on will be helpful as well.

All done Wendy! Everything working fine now.
I wish i could have thank you in person. :)
