No Audio When Using HTML 5 On Android Phones

Mar 05, 2013

I'm trying to convert existing Presenter content to Storyline. I bring everything in and then make a few alignment adjustments and set slides to "by user" instead of automatic and then publish to HTML 5. The problem is that I can't get the audio to play (at all) when using an Android phone. Doesn't make a difference whether it's Chrome or default Android browser, (latest Nexus or previous version) the audio will not play. It will play when I select the html 5 version in my desktop/laptop browser.

Any thoughts?

I've tried hosting several different ways (My own servers, Dropbox, etc.)  so it appear to be something in the files themselves, not how it's hosted.

Forgot to mention, I understand Android is not "officially" supported and some people are having issues with responsiveness being slow on Android tablets, etc. I'm not expecting it to work perfectly, but I'd like to at least get it working some/most of the time and also figure out if there's a bug/problem with the conversion from Presenter to Storyline.

It is playing okay on iPad with just the html 5. (Not using the app)
