I'm a newbie so if this question seems ridiculous please forgive me.
I am working through the Storyline tutorials on the Articulate website. I am using the 03D_Tabs_Interaction_360 sample. In the video, David Anderson has check marks available to the left of each layer name so he is able to see what layers he has selected. I don't have those check marks available so I can't select and dim the base layer.
I feel like I'm losing my mind. I have looked for settings for this but I haven't found anything.
We replaced the checkboxes with "eye" icons. You'll see that icon if you hover over the base layer or the slide layer, as shown below. You can click that icon to lock visibility.
