After working faithfully for months, suddenly when I try to Publish my Storylines for Web or CD I get neither output files nor the options pop-up window (View, Email, Zip, etc.), though I get both when publishing for MS Word.
I mean clicking publish once, then waiting 1 or 2 seconds to find the screen just comes back to the publish screen. Then clicking publish once again and finally it publishes. This is also very consistent.
I'd seen this before for a about 1 week and do not know if it had to do with Windows or Articulate yet.
Really sorry for the difficulty you're experiencing!! The first thing to check, is that you're following the below guidelines:
1. Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
2. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
3. Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.
You may also want to try removing the slide that seems to be halting the publish - it's possible it may have been corrupted somehow. In the past, if a file is corrupt, starting a new Storyline project and importing the slides from the old Storyline file has sometimes resolved the publish problem! (Here's how to do this: Importing from Another Storyline Project)
Finally, if the issue persists, try a quick repair of your software as described here.

I'm just starting to get htis in the last few days as well.
I've found that clicking the Publish button as seond time does publish the projects.
Do you mean like "double-clicking" or clicking again, and if clicking again, when?
