No prompt to resume after course has been finished

Nov 30, 2012

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to keep the No resume prompt active in all cases, but not when someone has already finished the course.

Now, if someone has finished the course the last page is a Result slide. When he or she revisits or retries the course they are asked whether they want to resume where they left of, but thats seems a bit strange on the last slide. So what I would like is to have the course restart every time someone revisits after completion of the course.

Thanks for all your suggestions.

Kind regards,

Chris

Hi Chris,

You can set the player to never resume where the user left off, this should remove the prompt. Take a look at this tutorial for more information.

  • Never: This causes your course to always open at the beginning of the course, regardless of whether the learner already completed part of the course previously. Users won't see a prompt.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks!

Hi Marielle,

Yes, if you choose "never" theyll always start at the beginning of the course. If you don't want to give the user a choice but force them to resume, you'll want to choose "Always". There isn't a way to stop the user from seeing the prompt once they've finished though - but most LMS's will consider a course to be in review mode once they've reached the completion point so that they can't change how it behaves.
