Non-linear Learning

Oct 13, 2016

Hello!

I am trying to create a course where the learner doesn't have to go through the courses chronologically. I'd basically give them a "badge board" where they click on each of the 6 badges to go to the lessons. Each badge would also be set to a "Completed" state when the lesson is complete.

I had it set up to where the last slide of each lesson is a Pick One freeform slide and has a hidden radio button that would be selected when the slide is visited. I then use those pick-one interactions to reflect on the results slide and the badge board. Basically, the learner would only complete the course when all 6 are selected.

My problem is when the learner leaves the course midway and tries to come back into it using the "Would you like to resume where you left off" prompt, the course doesn't seem to save the selected radio buttons. The once "Completed" badges aren't complete and they'd have to go through all the lessons again.

Would appreciate ideas on this.

Thanks!
