I have embedded videos and want them to be loaded on trigger. So I set this parameter and save the story. Whenever I get back to this slide the parameter is being set back to video loading automatic.
O I see, so I got you wrong. The inpersistence happens in storyline itself, where I build the slides. I embedd the video, I switch to video editing, I check the video to load on trigger, I click on save. Then I switch to any different slide and return again to the video slide: the parameter has been set back to automatic. It simply does not save these changes.
You insert a video into your slide. From the OPTIONS tab, you select Play Video: From Trigger.
Then you add a trigger event to the slide to play the video, right? What trigger are you using to make the video play? A button click, timeline reaches X, etc?
Sorry Martin, but I can't seem to recreate the issue.
I would recommend trying a test; create a new storyline file, and insert a single video on the first slide. Set it to trigger and set up your trigger. Then add a slide and save.
Publish and see if your trigger is working. Then go back to the slide the video is on and see if the Play Video parameter has changed.
finally looks like a kind of contextual bug in my storyline project. However if it does show up in further projects, it's okay for me. Thanks at least for your ideas!

Is this occurring on the first time you go to the slide content? Or on re-visit?
Just wondering if perhaps you need to change your slide revisit state to resume state.
Hi Rod,
well it happens, when I re-visit the slide. Where can I change the resume state?
Go to the specific slide in Scene view.
Next to the Base Layer title, there is a cog.
Click the cog and it will open a Slide Properties flyout.
In the flyout, there is a drop-down selection menu for When revisiting. By default, it is usually set to "Automatically Decide".
Set it to "Reset to initial state". Then re-publish and test.
I think that will solve the issue.

Hmmm... okay, well let me check the process.
