Normalizing Volume?
Apr 11, 2017
Hey Everyone!
I need help with something, do any of you know if you can normalize the volume in storyline? I created a video with 5 different people recording their audio in different locations, using different microphones, etc so when I preview the video, you can tell the difference in the audio. I know you can edit the audio when it comes to cutting out things such as an extra breath, but can I normalize the volume?
Thanks everyone!

In Storyline 3 and 360 - It is found under the publish dialogue. (Not available in earlier versions)
Thanks Ron for your response!
Unfortunately, I have 2. Do you know if there is anything I can do in Storyline 2?
Hello Priscilla - As Ron mentioned, this is a new feature, but you can highlight pieces of the audio and adjust the volume if needed. Check out this full tutorial on editing audio. I've seen other users mention utilizing Audacity to do so prior to import as well if the audio needs to be optimized/balanced.
One of the more popular free tools for leveling audio is Levelator: http://www.conversationsnetwork.org/levelator
