While creating this title slide with Roboto Slab off of Google Fonts, it looks fine in the editor but creates odd spacing and incorrect characters in preview or when published.
If you need us to take a look, With your permission, I'd like you to share your project file with our support engineers to investigate what's happening. You can share it privately by uploading it here. It will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.
It is installed locally and Modern Text is enabled. I'm not sure what constitutes a supported font in this context, outside of not including Adobe Type-1 fonts.
I've seen a couple of comments about font weights not being supported, so perhaps that's it? In testing, I found that Roboto Slab normal, italic, bold, and Black all display fine. Roboto Slab Light displays incorrectly. Roboto Slab Extra-Light and Extra-Bold cause the slide to bug and the bug reporting pop-up to appear. Even scrolling over these options in the font menu causes unpredictable behavior and the need to close the instance.
Thank you for sharing your .story file and the additional details. I was able to replicate the issue you mentioned where Extra-Light and Extra-bold cause Storyline to crash.
I opened up a support case on your behalf with our engineers, so you should hear from them via e-mail soon.

Refining this further. Using Roboto Slab Light has this problem even when placed in its own textbox.

Thank you, Maria. This is a low-priority matter for me but I am glad I could spotlight an issue for future fixes.
