I was recently given an already complete articulate storyline project and was given the task of reformatting it (changing colors, fonts, arrangement of each slide, etc.). Prior to making any changes, the presentation had been working flawlessly. After I made the edits, text would show up jumbled in the preview if it wasn't typed in bolded letters or it would not be visible at all. Additionally, on several slides, the "next" button and "previous" buttons had stopped working entirely.
The only changes I made were to colors, placement of text on the slides, and shapes of buttons. I didn't do anything to the timeline of the project or triggers within it.
I know how frustrating that must be. It happened to me. Several things to look at:
1. Did you change the font? If it's an Adobe Type 1 Post Script Font then it is not supported by Articulate Storyline. Here's how to tell if it's an Adobe Type 1 Post Script font:
I am working locally, so working from the local drive shouldn't be an issue.
I have yet to publish the course to my LMS at all. I am only seeing the problems I have when I preview the course material (problems in apparent in the full-story mode, scene-preview mode, or the slide-preview mode).
And as far as I know I am using the most current version of Storyline 360.
Thanks for your suggestions though. Is there any other help or resources you can provide?

I know how frustrating that must be. It happened to me. Several things to look at:
1. Did you change the font? If it's an Adobe Type 1 Post Script Font then it is not supported by Articulate Storyline. Here's how to tell if it's an Adobe Type 1 Post Script font:

If this is the case, and you need to replace your font, here an easy way to do it:

2. Are you working locally? Problems when publishing occur when you are not working from your local drive:

I'd also like to ask - Does this happen when you are viewing your course before you publish it? Or only during publishing to your LMS?
3. Are you using the latest version of Articulate Storyline?
If not, I suggest to update it: Install and update Storyline 360
