Notes Messed up - Help!

Sep 06, 2013

Hi,

I have had a few problems with the notes. First my fonts for numbering are not consistent - not sure what to do to fix. I have tried many things.

In the preview, the numbers are at the end of the end of the sentences, not at the beginning. For example, It says Select Search 1 rather than 1. Select Search.

Any help would be appreciated asap!

Thank you!

Cindy

Hi Cindy and welcome to Heroes!

Sorry we missed this message on Friday, but I wanted to point you to this article about formatting your notes - you should be able to format as normal while working on your notes.  Since it sounds like odd Storyline behavior, I wanted to offer the following general practices  as well:

  • Always save and publish to your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or an external (USB) drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources.
  • Be sure the file paths to your projects and published output are well under the 260-character limit imposed by Microsoft Windows.
  • Avoid using special characters, accents, or symbols in your file paths and file names.

Have you been able to recreate the problem in another file? If not, you could try importing this .story file into a new Storyline project to see if the numbering issue is resolved? If you've had this happen in multiple Storyline files, you may want to conduct a simple repair of your Storyline software.

If you'd like to share your .story file here as well I'm happy to take a look. If you'd prefer to share it privately you can send it to our Support team.  Just let us know what slide(s) the numbered lists are on.
