Notes sometimes don't scroll or are cutoff on the mobile interface
Oct 05, 2017
There are a couple of issues with the display and functionality of the notes on the mobile interface:
If I display the notes and scroll all the way to the bottom of the notes and then click on the "hamburger" icon, then proceed to navigate to the next slide and display the notes for this slide; the notes are cutoff from the bottom and even if I scroll up or down, they remain cut off. This happens when the program is viewed in landscape mode.
It seems that the issue doesn't happen when the program is viewed in portrait mode.
The other issue I found is that the first time I launch the program and open the notes for the first slide, they are not scrollable. All the the subsequent notes for the other slides are scrollable. If I go back to the first slide, then it becomes scrollable. This issue is present on landscape and portrait modes.
The issues described above are present on the iPad, iPhone, and Android tablets.
Please let me know if you are aware of this issue and how soon you are planning to release a fix.
Thank you.

I am attaching here a simple Storyline file that you can publish and view on a mobile device and replicate the issue I am experiencing.
Thanks.
In the process of adding new features to a eLearning module, I found another issue with the Notes feature in the mobile interface. If I activate the search feature, the font changes for the notes and also introduces uneven spacing and emoticons within the text instead of normal characters. I am attaching a couple of screen grabs. You can use the the test.story file to test this issue too. Just activate the search feature and publish it. This module was created and published using the latest Storyline release (Build 3.9.13488.0).
Thank you.
Thanks for the detailed write-up and for including a test file, Oscar! You made my job a lot easier. ☺️
I'm also seeing an issue in Storyline 360 where the notes text sometimes doesn't scroll and they are sometimes cut off in the mobile player. I'll be sure to share this with my team so we can begin looking at next steps. I really appreciate you bringing this up to us, and I'll let you know as soon as I get an update.
Regarding the font problem when the search feature is enabled, I wasn't able to recreate that issue on my end. Can you test this link and let me know if you see a font change and emotions within the text?
Thank you Alyssa for your reply and for looking into this issue. The font problem that I experienced when I activated the Search feature was not longer present after publishing the file with the new patch released last Friday. The other two issues are still present.
I hope you guys have a solution soon!
Thank you again.
Oscar
Great to hear that, Oscar. Thanks for the update.
I see you're also working with my colleague Lea on this issue, so I've shared everything in this thread with her. Let's keep the conversation going in your support case!
Great news, Oscar! We just released another update for Articulate 360, and it includes a fix for the issue where notes wouldn't always scroll and/or were sometimes cut off in HTML5 output on mobile devices.
Simply launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for each application. Details here.
Thanks again for reporting this to us, and please let us know if you have any questions – either here or by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly!
I'm still seeing this as an issue with v3.17.16188, at least on iOS. I'll file a support request, as well.
