I have a transcript for the audio on the Notes tab. When I preview it in mobile player view, the text is cut off and squeezed, as in the attached screen shot. Is there a setting that I've missed that will correct this issue?
I'm running the latest update of Storyline 360. The .story project file is attached.
More data - it displays correctly on mobile phones (iPhones), but not my tablet (iPad).
All help is appreciated! I'm developing an online orientation for college students, so it may be played on a variety of devices and should be readable on all of them.
Thanks for sharing your file with me. I see the same for the notes on my iPad, and I'm also seeing it happen on my iPhone 6s when testing your file.
This is an issue currently being investigated for Storyline 360 and I'm adding your experience to our report. As soon as we have news to share on a fix, you'll be notified right away.
Thanks for letting us know that you're hitting this snag, and I'm sorry for any headaches it's causing you.
Thanks for letting me know. Do you have any suggestions for a work-around until a fix is available? I'm supposed to release this orientation for online students at the end of July.
I had the latest iOS on both my iPad and iPhone when I tested before and got the chopped Notes. I checked out your Tempshare link on the same devices, and when it first started playing on my iPhone, it was still chopped, but as it continued to play, it filled itself out and looked like what you saw. Now I see the full Notes on both devices.
I initially published the project to Articulate 360 and accessed the link on my devices. I noticed that you published to the Web; otherwise, I used the same settings you did. I wonder if that made the difference. The final version will be published to our LMS, so I may be back in touch if there are any issues with that.
No trouble at all! That was certainly strange behavior, and I'm documenting all of it incase there's something else afoot here. If that's the case, I'll be sure to let you know right away. Thanks for letting us know here.
I am having this issue as well. I am publishing for LMS and using it on an iPad and the notes are chopped. I am using 360 but I was on a trail version awaiting a license. Could that be the cause?
The trial version of our software is the same as the paid version, so I wouldn't expect that to cause any issues.
First, can you check that you are on the latest update of Storyline 360? To check, click the Help tab, then click About Storyline. You should see 3.14.15225.0 in the bottom-right corner.
If you're already using the latest update, would you mind sharing your file with me? I'd like to test it in SCORM Cloud from my iPad to see if I run into the same problem.
Thanks Audrey for your file. When I published and first launched your course from SCORM Cloud, my team and I saw the same behavior. The Notes text was smaller and cut off. When I toggled the Player tabs to Menu and then back to Notes, the Notes looked fine for the remainder of the course. I noticed this behavior in Safari on my iPad and on an iPhone 6.
My team will have another look at this behavior, and I'll update you here in the discussion with any changes. For now, toggling the Player tabs seems to restore the Notes text.
One note -- it looks like your email signature with contact information was included in your last reply. You can hop back in here to edit out that info from public view!
If you need to edit our your signature, take a look at this Peek video on how to remove contact information from your post.
As for the player tab, I think Crystal's suggestion is to click on the menu when you first open the course, and then click on the notes. It seems to reset the font size.
It looks like you have two different Articulate IDs with which you're posting here. You'll want to log in with the email address that does not include your name in the email, that's the one which you posted and the signature came through.
I don't have a resolution. As of yesterday we still have chopped notes. It isn't feasible to tell users to click on the menu and then back to the notes. Additionally, the notes cover what is displayed on the screen. We try to design our training for all types of learners. Some turn the audio off and read the notes and watch the screen. With the notes covering everything, users who like the sound off will have issues.
My development team is experiencing this exact same issue. We are exporting as HTML 5 with Flash backup. This is a huge concern to our customers. We do not utilize the Storyline Menu tab so we can't even give them that option. Please keep us updated real time on a resolution for this very important issue.
I am just now noticing that the originating note to this string was posted 11 months ago?? We have been using the same player (Classic) for many months without this issue presenting itself. We recently had to republish ALL our modules do to the Chrome Audio issue. Now we are seeing this problem. So it seems like something got broken in your last few updates. Is a solution being developed for this problem?
So sorry you're hitting this problem. Are you seeing this while testing in Safari on an iPhone or iPad?
We're tracking the impact of this bug, and I'll be sure to add your experience to our report. As soon as I get an update, I'll be sure to let you know.
Thanks for reaching out. I’m seeing it in Safari on my phone. Interestingly, if I rotate the phone to portrait and back it fixes itself and stays fixed for the remained of the module. Really strange.
As an aside, our modules are a big part of process improvement at many fortune 100 companies. We really want to put our best foot forward!

Hey Gina,
Sorry you're seeing that happen- definitely not desirable! Let's get to the bottom of it.
I have a few questions to start with:
Thanks!

Hey Gina,
I went back this morning and retested your course after updating both my iPad and iPhone to iOS 10.3.2. I published it using these settings:
I then uploaded it to Tempshare to test it on the web. Oddly enough, I'm no longer seeing the notes issue.
Here's what I see in Safari on iPhone:
and here's what I see in Safari on iPad:
Can you check out your course here on the latest iOS and let me know if you're still seeing that issue?
Thanks for hanging in there for this testing!

I can't seem to remove that. Please let me know what I need to do.
I tried what you suggested. We only have notes turned on in the player. So I can't resolve it that way.

Looks like Audrey has popped in to update you on the issue she was seeing.
It is still open with our team as we investigate and you're welcome to share a .story file so that we can take a look at it as well.
