number entries in the menu automatically

Hello,

I had choosen to flag on, in the menu options, "number entries in the menu automatically".  Then I decided to flag it off.

The problem is that all slides keep their numbering.  It seems impossible to make it disappear. 

I have reset the menu but the problem remains.

Would anybody have an idea on how to make this automatically numbering off ?

Hi Etienne,

Sounds like you're following the correct steps to disable the numbering, but I'm not sure why it's not updating. Are you working with local files?

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior. 
  • You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.

If you're working locally, are you able to share the .STORY file? I'd be happy to take a look and see if I experience the same issue with the numbering.

Good morning Etienne,

Does the numbering still shows up after publishing, as Phil suggested? If so, it may be an issue with the file itself. Please try importing the slides from your course into a new Storyline file. If you need information on how to import from an existing course, take a look at the following tutorial:
