Number Variable Commas

I am building an interactive equation which features number variables. When the user inputs a number with commas, it is treated as a decimal and the zeroes after the comma are deleted. It's like it's defaulted as a European number system. I've seen discussion that the opposite problem used to be the case--people wanted the commas to be decimals, etc. Now the default is European.
Question: How can I let the numbers stay with commas? Or get rid of commas, but not the zeroes?

I'd be surprised if I were the only one experiencing this.
Hi Eric,
Are you using a different language setting for your system other than English(US)? I can't enter a comma in a numeric entry field - only a decimal point. Which is currently by design in Storyline. If you need to enter in commas and decimal points you could use a text entry field instead.
Thanks for your response! My language is set for English (U.S.), so that doesn't seem to be the issue.
In my output, I can enter a comma in the numeric entry field, and then it acts like a decimal. Bizarre!
Thanks Eric - I only tested preview where I couldn't enter it at all. Do you have a link to your published output? How does it act like a decimal - do you see it change after you insert it or later in a reference? Just want to make sure I'm following your steps!
I'll try to add the attachment. It acts as a decimal by rounding up and deleting the numbers after the comma.
Thanks Eric - you'll need to visit this forum discussion to upload any attachments. They won't be attached if you reply via email to the discussion.
