I inserted a Numeric Entry Field (from the Controls under Data Entry, circled in red in the attached screenshot) into a project this morning, and found that instead of seeing the increment/decrement buttons, it’s a simple text entry field. The control only allows users to enter a number by typing it in the field, and no clickable buttons are shown. Am I missing something obvious, or is the image in the Controls menu misleading?
Yes, the icon is misleading. It's a numeric input field, not a component to increase/decrease a value with buttons. However, you can quickly build such an interaction, with two buttons a numeric variable and some triggers.
Shame—we’re intentionally trying to “dumb down” this particular project, but I’m not sure it’s worth extra variables and triggers as a workaround (although that is an excellent suggestion noted for future reference).
Articulate might want to adjust that with the next revision, as well as fixing this typo. ;-)

Hi CL,
I honestly never thought about it - but I totally see what your saying.
As Michael mentioned, it's likely easy enough to build it if you'd like to - and here is an article on how to make a simple counter.

That's a typo we're aware of - but I'll share the insight into the numeric entry field. :-)
Hilarious, can't believe I've never seen that.
