I'm having a problem-- I have a question that requires a numeric response but when I enter an answer, the submit button won't accept the answer and I'm stuck on the page.
Hi Dipti, How can i enter single numeric entry in numeric box? i need to enter to allowed 1 or 2 or 3 any of these values only. So how can i allow this values? Thanks in advance....
I'm not sure I'm clear on what you're looking to do - are you only interested in allowing the user to enter a 1 a 2 or a 3 but any of those would be correct? Or, just enter one number - no matter what it is? Have you tried using the numeric entry question type or the fill in the blank? Maybe you could share a bit more information about what you're looking to set up or the problem you're running into and we can help point you in the right direction.
Do you have a .story file you could share with us here? Even just that one slide would be helpful to look at. You'll want to attach it here using the paperclip icon and please keep in mind that the forums have about a 20 mb limit for uploads.
Sorry for late reply. i attached my file what i need. that numeric text box need allow only single digit. and thay allow only 1 or 2 or 3 only not other numbers (4-9) and 0 also. thanks in advance.
Thanks for sharing the file. I think I understand what you're trying to set up now - and although you can't stop someone from entering in a particular number, you could stop the slide from advancing if they don't enter a 1 or a 2 or a 3...I added an additional trigger to check for that. You may also want to add a layer that would be shown reminding the user what will count as a valid entry.

Use text entry instead of numeric entry. In the if condition, numeric entry rounds off the0.0175 to 0.02.
Alternatively, you can use the graded fill in the blank template.
.story file attached.

Thanks Dipti-- I did a work-around per your suggestion.
Still not sure why the numeric approach didn't work tho!
Hi Bud! Thanks for the update and glad that Dipti was able to assist you here.

Thanks for reply Ashley, user enter only 1 or 2 or 3 in single digits only. when they enter other numbers (4-0) numeric entry will not allow to press.
