numeric quiz question in Storyline

Sep 23, 2013

I'm having a problem-- I have a question that requires a numeric response but when I enter an answer, the submit button won't accept the answer and I'm stuck on the page.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Saravana and welcome to Heroes!

I'm not sure I'm clear on what you're looking to do - are you only interested in allowing the user to enter a 1 a 2 or a 3 but any of those would be correct? Or, just enter one number - no matter what it is? Have you tried using the numeric entry question type or the fill in the blank? Maybe you could share a bit more information about what you're looking to set up or the problem you're running into and we can help point you in the right direction.

Hi Saravana,

Thanks for sharing the file. I think I understand what you're trying to set up now - and although you can't stop someone from entering in a particular number, you could stop the slide from advancing if they don't enter a 1 or a 2 or a 3...I added an additional trigger to check for that. You may also want to add a layer that would be shown reminding the user what will count as a valid entry.
