I've created two numerical variables for a quiz in Storyline that tracks the question number as well as the learner's total score. These counters work when I preview the single slide, but do not work when I publish the lesson. Is there a setting for publishing that I'm missing?
Hi Carole, welcome to the community! This seems odd, there is not specific publish setting that would turn on/off variables. Have you tried uploading the published content to a server (or an alternative like DropBox, GoogleDrive) and run it from there?
I'm not sure how to do that - I usually create the content then another colleague publishes it to the LMS. Why would this make a difference do you think?

It shouldn't make a difference but stranger things have happened . You could also publish your content for CD, run it locally and see if the issue persists. Also, you could upload your file (or a portion of it) here for the community to have a look.
Here is a sample - only three of the questions. What I'm trying to do is show a running total score and a running count of the questions as the learner goes through the quiz. I've put the triggers on the 'Continue' object of the Correct/Incorrect feedback box. Again, it works as expected when I preview the individual slide, but does not work if I preview the whole project or publish.
As Michael mentioned, I don't know of a publish setting that would turn off the variables, but we'd be happy to take a look if you can share the file and we'll do some testing on our end.

Hi Carole and welcome to the Heroes community!

In each of the questions' Correct/Incorrect layers, change the trigger order so that both "Add" triggers are at the top, as shown here:
Thank you very much. That worked (and it makes sense now that I have the solution!)
Thanks Carole for the update - and sorry I missed seeing your file, it looks like we posted at the same time! Happy Michael was able to assist you!
