Object appearing on the screen in a random location

Hi All,

I am looking for a way to show objects on the screen in  random locations. The idea is to pop-up some words for a blink of a second, in different locations on the screen. The student has to be able to read the word that pops-up for a short while, and tell it out loud.  There are about 40 words. 

My challenges:

1. The time that each words is visible on the screen should vary between 0.5sec to 2sec. The teacher can select the time on each page (there are some radio buttons that enable the teacher to select the time)

2. Is there a way to apply a  random location appearance on the screen? Can I actually do it or must I place each word in a different location by myself ?

 

Any idea?
