Good morning - have been playing with Storyline, and have to say that I love a lot about it!
My new quest is to animate objects to narration, fading them in, then out. And I was then hoping to fade it back in later. I can't seem to make Storyline do it. I used to do that in PPT just by adding animations.
HI Brent - here's an example of using slide layers to create the fly in/fly out effect. The only difference is you're looking to fade an object and this example uses the fly animation.

Hi Brent,
Can you just copy/paste the object so there are 2 in the exact same position, and then move the copied object further along on the timeline?
So, for example, a smiley face fades in and out at around the 2-4 second mark, and then the copy fades back in at the 6 second mark. Would that work?
You can only have one entrance and exit animation, you could achieve this by duplicating the object and placing it further along the timeline
Thanks to you both! I did do that, and it does work - I was just hoping that there might be easier ways of doing it.
Hi Brent,
Not currently an easier way that I know of. If you want, I would do a feature request for what you used to do in PPT.
Always Happy to Help,
Adrian
