I have object triggers on a slide (Section 2, Top Taskbar Slide) where the learner must select each object before proceeding to the next slide; however, the Next button will not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not very well versed in Storyline and I did not build this course. I was tasked with completing the voiceovers and publishing the content.

On your Top Taskbar slide, you had the following triggers for each of the markers:
Since the Next button conditions are looking for a visited state, that state is never attained, as the triggers above are overriding the default change of states.
I disabled those triggers in the attached file, and the slide seems to be working as expected.
