objects not resetting to initial state in pick many
Jun 30, 2012
Hi,
I'm trying to create a pick many question but am having the problem that after the learner has an incorrect attempt and returns to the base layer the buttons do not return to their initial state. I have set the revisiting tab in the slide properties to 'reset to initial state' on all layers and it does reset if I go to a different slide and then return but not when I return to the base layer. I have attached the slide I'm struggling with. Any suggestions would be very gratefully received as I need to use this format at several points in my story.
Thanks,
Rebekah

The trigger loop doesn't work in 360. It keeps the states from the original.
Hi Cherstin,
This discussion is a big older, but I'd be glad to help you out.
Can you share a bit more about your set up and what you're looking to accomplish? It'd also be great if you could share a copy of your .story file here with the community and then we can offer specific advice on your course!
I actually figured it out. You can take my post down. I just hadn't changed
the setting to reset to initial state because I didn't know where it was.
Glad you were able to get this figured out Cherstin. Thanks for chiming in with an update :)
I've tried this and it's still not working for me. I set the trigger for the try again button to jump to this slide and I've set the revisits to reset to initial state. Any suggestions?
Hi Guy
Can you share the slide it will be easier for someone to help you troubleshoot if we can see the exact setup.
Here's the link to the published version. I'll attach the slide to this post

Hi Guy
the slide revisit property was set to Automatically decide - change that to 'Reset to Initial state' and it should work as expected.
