I have put an object on a hidden layer. When I change the state of this object via a button on the base layer, the change of state does not work IF the layer has not been displayed yet at least once. After I show and hide the layer, the state changes start working. Any ideas how to fix this bug?
A separate issue concerns the change of state triggered from a button that is ON the layer. For some reason, it is not working.
Thanks for your comment Phil,
But do you imply that the same trigger causing different actions (in the
beginning nothing happens when you click it but then later the object in
the invisible layer changes state when you click) is actually expected
behavior?
I would have thought changing the state on a hidden layer would not work and would be expected behaviour.
However, in 360 If I click change to red and then click show circle, the circle appears red when the layer shows, I would then infer that it is indeed a bug in Storyline 2
Thanks for reaching out here and to our Support Engineers directly! Your case has been escalated and you'll be hearing from one of our Support Engineers soon to get to the bottom of what's happening 😊

I would have said this is expected behaviour, but this all works fine in 360.

Thanks! As I'm new here, do you think I could expect the support team to
fix this?
I would raise a support case https://articulate.com/support/contact
Articulate can then confirm if it is a bug or expected behaviour
I have already done so before posting to the forum, thanks!
