odd audio problem
Oct 28, 2016
Sent out a link of current project to several testers. Neither we, nor most of them had any problems. But one is unable to hear the narration of content slides - even though she was able to hear the sound on videos embedded within the lessons. In response to my attempts to troubleshoot:
· I am using a PC
· I am running Windows 10
· I can hear audio on other videos on other websites
· I have tried using both a headset and speakers, neither of which yield sound within the lesson
· The audio on the player is maximized
· I have also tried opening the link in several different web browsers to see if that played a role (Edge, Explorer and Chrome) but it was silent in all of them
Could this be a flash and/or storyline bug?
thanks everyone!

Hi Simone,
So you were able to replicate the issue this one tester experienced, but no one else reported the same? Where did you upload and host the content? Are you able to share a link to it here with us?
Thanks for the quick response. Nobody else (include us) has experienced her audio problem. I'm afraid since it's still in beta, I'm not able to share the link, which is a private page on our website that I uploaded with the Articulate Storyline plugin for Wordpress.
Thanks Simone - so all those steps are the ones the user went through? If it's just that one user, my guess is it's connected to something in her environment. Do you know what version of Flash she has and what browser versions she's using? A good site to help check is supportdetails.com
Also, did you upload this published course to a web server or LMS? If she's testing it locally that may be a part of the issue per the documentation here. You could look at uploading it to one of those test sites mentioned to see if the behavior is any different.
