Does anyone know if there is a way to offer a storyline 2 file for offline viewing and interaction? I'm seeking to allow students to download the file and view it when they need to, without owning the software. If I publish as CD, will that somehow work? Or is there a better way.
You can output to CD, which will create an EXE file that can be viewed locally (on PC). It is good to test it though as sometimes EXEs cause security errors when downloaded (or accessed through a network). It is probably the best option for local viewing without the need for Storyline.
You can also publish as Web and ZIP the files up so the students can download the file. We don't like this option as much though because some students don't realize they have to unzip files (so the project doesn't load properly) or they don't know how to run the project.
On iPads you can use the Articulate Mobile Player and students can download the files for local viewing when they are away from the internet.
