Offset Images in Embedded SWF
Feb 26, 2013
Hello everyone,
I just ran across an issue embedding a SWF into my lesson. I'm inserting the SWF as a video, and when it previews in Storyline, it plays perfectly. When I publish the file, a few of the images become offset. This makes the animation look wrong.
The graphic artist on our team has created a SWF of overlayed images that need to align correctly. In his published SWF, the images are aligned to the pixel. Also, he has been following the best practices for the file, so I don't see anything problems there that would be causing this issue.
We will explore several different ways of solving this, including altering the animation and publishing to FLV, but it seems to me this should work the first time. Has anyone encountered a similar problem?
Thanks,
Julia

Hi Julia!
Out of curiosity, have you tried inserting it using both of these methods to see if there's any difference in the images alignment?
Hi Peter,
I just tested by inserting as Flash, and there was no difference. I chose to the video method, per published best practices, because it is important that the animation synchronize with audio, and other animated elements on the screen.
Thanks for checking

Thanks Peter, I'll do that.
