OMG these new features in the April 22 Update!

Did Elon Musk buy Articulate??

Have you updated your Storyline 360? Having these features is how Storyline should have worked all along. I for one am excited about these new features!

Anyone else frustrated that you couldn't drag multiple objects in the timeline?

This one is big. Paste at the playhead. Finally, the playhead has a purpose! Before, it would paste at zero. Also, select an object on the timeline and hit control v to paste the the new object right above the selected one. Before, it would always paste at the very top of the timeline.

Paste Objects in Existing Groups.

Holy cow. This one is top contender for the biggest improvement. Select the individual object in the group and hit paste to paste the new object on top of it in the timeline and it becomes part of that group.

Pasted Objects Respect Duration of Destination Slide

This was one lacking feature that wasted so much time and broke the timeline when you have exit animations, pauses, etc. No more extending the timeline when pasting an object.

Paste Special

Control alt v to get options such as keep triggers (or not), keep animations, keep source start time (or default to pasting at playhead), and keep source duration (the "old way" in which it would stretch the timeline to that of the pasted object)

Align Playhead to Object Start, Object End (in timeline)

I'm going to add a keyboard shortcut for this.

Fit Timeline to Longest Object

Whilst I agree that most time saving upgrades are efficient the option to paste objects right above selected objects does not work as intended. If your timeline is so big that it contains a scroll bar the timeline needlessly scrolls to the top every time you paste something lower down in the timeline. This is quite frustrating and counter-productive.

Oh, yeah I just tried it. To clarify, if your timeline is so big (heightwise) that it gets the vertical scrollbar (not the horizontal one at the bottom) when you paste, it scrolls to the top.

It still pastes the object where you want it right above the selected object but yeah, that's unnecessary and annoying.

Hi all!

I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 64, we’ve included important fixes and new features.

One of the fixes we’ve included is:

Improved how Storyline 360 could jump to the top of the timeline panel after pasting objects to the bottom of the stack.

To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Please let me know if you need additional help!
