On button two faces
Mar 07, 2014
I would like to create a button that lets the user decide if the want sound or no sound in the course.
I want two things to happen when clicking the button:
1. Change from normal stat to mute state of the button. It should be possible to toggle between the two state.
2. Set a variable SOUND should be set to true or false. Also "toggable".
With this setup I can play a sound on the timeline if SOUND is equal to true.
Or is there another way to use the built in sound button in the Player for muting the sound with a custom button?

Hi Gustaf,
No way to modify the built in buttons states or change their behavior, so if you've come up with a customized method I'd suggest to use that moving forward.
Argh. Not the answer I was looking for.
OK I solved it. Instead of two states I have two different pics. Pic Listen and pic Mute.
Pic Listen:
Set Listen to false if user clicks
Change pic Listen to hidden when user clicks
Change pic Mute to visible when user clicks
Pic Mute:
Set Mute to false if user clicks
Change pic Mute to hidden when user clicks
Change pic Listen to visible when user clicks
Sort of...
Thanks for sharing that method here Gustaf.
