One slide for different scenes

Jan 31, 2022

Hi there,
I am creating a course about data protection.
There are some slides for all users. Then the users decide in which area they are working and depending on their pick, they see diferent slides (I have created different scenes for this). But within the scenes there is one slide that is the same for all users (data breach-slide).
How can I manage it that I use only one data breach-slide to which I link all users. Instead of copying the data breach-slide to all scenes. Is there a possibility?
I know how to get tot he data breach slide from every scene. But how can I get back tot he scene where I was coming from? How can I set the variables?

I attach a sample file. I tried by setting a variable (when page 1 from the area is visited, the variable changes). Unfortunately I always get back to only one scene.

Hi, Susanne,

Here's a rundown of what you need to do:

  • Create a text variable for tracking which slide/scene to return to from the data-breach slide. For example, let's call the variable "jumpBack."
  • In each scene, on the slide from which the user jumps to the data-breach slide, add a trigger to adjust the variable to indicate where the user will be returning. For example, the trigger might look like this:

You can use whatever makes sense to you for the value. In fact, if you just want to use scene numbers, you could create a number variable instead of a text variable.

  • For the NEXT button on the data-breach slide, you'll need a separate trigger for each branch. The trigger would jump to the specific slide in the appropriate scene with the condition that the variable = the value that indicates that scene. For example:
