Only ONE Interaction Won't Work on Apple Devices

Mar 30, 2016

Does anyone understand why the following is happening or what I can do about it?

I have one slide that is giving my users who are on iPhones and iPads a lot of trouble. In fact, the simple interaction does not work on those devices and the users are prevented from continuing through the rest of the course.

The user is supposed to click on a text box, either YES or NO. Both text boxes have a trigger associated with them that makes it possible to continue. My users who are accessing the course via iPhone/Ipad report that when they touch YES or NO, nothing happens and they are stuck on that slide.

The interactions work fine when I access the course from my Android mobile phone and from a Windows Surface tablet. And of course from desktops/laptops.

I have published for the Web and include HTML 5, but not the AMP.

I have attached the slide that is presenting a problem.

Thank you!

Hi Mike. Thank you for checking on this for me. This slide occurs about half way through the course and I wonder if by then, things just get hung up. Very technical explanation, I know ;). I wonder because a couple people mentioned they feel that the course starts out fine but begins to lag as it progresses. One person describes it as "running out of steam".

The version of your iPad may indeed have something to do with the issue too. I don't know enough about the iOS to comment as to why, however.

Thanks again, Mike!

Hi, Jennifer -- Thanks for your patience and I am also unable to click on the YES or NO buttons when I upload your published output to tempshare.articulate.com and test the link generated. I tried on my iPad Air 2 (version 9.1) and also on my iPhone 6, version 9.3 and I saw the same on both devices, so I would like our Support Engineers to investigate further.

I will set you up in a case momentarily and a member of that team will be in touch shortly -- your patience is appreciated! :)
