Only the first slide in word gets published

May 15, 2017

Hi,

I am amazed that this is still an issue with Storyline. It has dogged me through all versions and having used other applications that have a similar functionality without issues it is long overdue some real attention.

I have gone through the threads, again, and am no closer to getting this resolved. Why am I just getting the first slide published in Word (2013) and even though I have asked for the notes to be published as well nothing is produced, not even for the one slide that makes it to the document.

I have tried:

  • Upgrading to the latest version (now 360)
  • Importing to a new file
  • Made sure the path and filenames are well below the 260 character mark
  • Changed settings in Word (2013) with File Block Settings

This does not work with any of my courses, new or old.

I have a customer who wants the transcript for some of my courses as they have a blind employee who wants to take the elearning courses.

I do not want to manually copy and paste as I have had to do so in the past.

For the record, it will publish if I don't select the Notes option but the whole point is that I can simply publish it all.

Hi Teg,

I'm so sorry this is holding you up, and I appreciate that you reached out. We definitely wouldn't expect publishing to Word to give you such issues. It looks like you opened a case with our Support team (01073998), and you should hear back from them shortly. I'll also keep an eye on it as you work with our engineers. Hang in there--you'll be in good hands!

Hi Tiffany and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)

Sorry to hear that this issue has popped up for you as well. I was able to take a peek at Teg's case and it looks like we were unable to reproduce the issue. The advice being to be sure that you are working locally and that you are utilizing your Word with admin privileges.

If you're having trouble across your Storyline projects, you may want to conduct a repair of the software as listed in this article.
