I have been using the "notes" section of the player to display the text of the narration in my courses. Does anyone have a solution for adding open or closed captioning features to a story?
I specifically want to address when a trigger is used or a layer displays with directions or content that differs from the text in the "notes" section for the base layer.
Hi Marie! Unfortunately there isn't a way to add different notes to slide layers or triggered interactions. Whatever you enter in the Notes pane will be used throughout the slide, regardless of which layer is visible.
If you'd like to provide different Notes text for slide layers, one possibility is this: instead of using the Notes feature on the player, you could add slide notes in a scrolling panel on the individual slide layers.
Your fellow community members may have other ideas to suggest, as well!

Thanks for the scrolling panel suggestion on the layers - I will try that idea.
You're welcome! Also, just an FYI that responding via email includes your signature here. You're welcome to edit the post to remove that if you wish.
