Open text entry fields not registered

Hello everyone,

I received a story file from our client with an unusual issue reported by a Japanese tester. When testing the English course in Japan, when they enter Japanese characters into the open text entry fields, they're able to advance to the next slide but once they complete the module their completion is not registered. When they go back into the course and enter alphabet letters into the open text entry fields, they are able to register completion. It appears this is happening in Japanese only.

Have you ever experienced anything like this before?
Any insight would be appreciated!
