Optimal Audio and Video Settings

Sep 22, 2015

What are the optimal audio and video settings for rendering- for our video producer to create before putting in Storyline 2; so Storyline 2 doesn't compress so much and compromise the audio and video quality, and that the video fills out the frame.

Hi Julie,

Storyline support a wide range of audio file formats (AAC, AIF, AIFF, M4A, MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA), not all codecs and bitrates are supported. For best results, we'd recommend converting your audio files to 16 bit 44 KHZ PCM WAV.

Storyline will compress video files as described here, but if you'd prefer that they not be compressed I'd recommend MP4 that fall within the three most common MP4 profiles: baseline, main, and high.

As far as frame, the video sizing and your story size, and any LMS/web server frame restrictions will play a roll in this.
