ORACLE Learning Cloud eLearning (SCORM/AICC) Player Anatomy

Apr 06, 2021

I have sent some SCORM files published from (Storyline & Rise)to ORACLE to test in their LMS. They have advised they are having trouble loading the SCORM files that have been published from Articulate.

They haven't commented on what the issue is as yet. They (Oracle) have sent me a pdf file (attached) and also asked if there are any flash files in the published files. Unfortunately, I don't know how to respond to that question.

Are you able to advise why they are having  problems loading the SCORM files from Storyline Articulate and from Rise?

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the feedback you're receiving on the published output files.

Without knowing what error they are experiencing, I'd recommend testing uploading to another LMS environment, such as SCORM Cloud, to see if it works as expected. This will help narrow down if the issue lies with the published output or the LMS.

I'd be happy to help test if needed. With your permission, please share your zipped published output publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

Hi Leslie,

We are currently using SCORM Cloud as an interim LMS until we get our new LMS up and running. Published documents from Articulate for both RISE & Articulate Storyline are working well in SCORM Cloud.

It would appear that ORACLE have managed to sort out what the issue was in terms of the authored course playing within their environment, but still need to make a couple of fixes for the results to come through on completion. I think it's probably more an Oracle issue than it is a publishing issue - but thanks for your response.

If I run into any more problems i will post another question. As always the support from you is great.

Hi Michelle, First, let me say if you have a choice, run as far away from OLC as you can. We migrated in November and it has been an epic fail.

As far as your question, are you saving as SCORM1.2? That is the only version we have been able to make "work." Happy to share my experience with you.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for that feedback, I will certainly pass it on to our People team. The authored programme is working within their LMS and functioning the way it should be all except the completion results.

What specifically was the issue for you with Oracle. It would help for some tangible examples. If it's easier you could email me on michelle.martin@silverfernfarms.co.nz
