To piggy-back Mike it would be nice if whatever Articulate decided to append to the end of the directory had a "-" or "_" so that when referencing the directory natively you didn't have to worry about fixing the name or adding in %20 to your HTML to ensure that your HTML was W3C compliant.
Contrary to popular belief, not wanting to fix things that shouldn't be broken isn't lazy, it's being efficient.
"Rename after" is a solution but probably not a very good one in the grand scheme of things.
I don't believe our development team would consider the word "output" at the end of the folder as broken or a bug, but by design. If you'd like to see a different design or method implemented, you're welcome to also share your thoughts here in the form of a feature request.
It is a major inconvenience having to remove the append "storyline output"... very easy change to make from a programming perspective. Just don't append the extra segment.

No way to stop it from being generated but you could rename the file after it's published.
