Is there anyway to automatically pause a video that is playing to show a new layer(questions slide) then when they answer have the video play again. I have a new slide layer but I can't find anyway to automatically stop the video and show the question layer.
It's not possible to trigger from the timeline, but if you could trigger a state change and then trigger off of that state, you could open a layer when the timeline reaches a specific point.
For example, say you have a video that's 2 minutes long. At 1 minute, you could insert a shape and position it off of the slide. You really wouldn't even need to trigger a state change here, unless you wanted to. At this point the default state of "normal" would work for a trigger.
You could trigger the layer with your question(s) to open when the state of that object equals "normal".
Now, on the layer itself, you'll need to make sure that you set the Base Layer options to "Pause timeline of base layer" - this will make sure that the video is paused while the layer is open.
Set up a trigger to hide the question layer (on a button click, etc.). When you return to the base layer of the slide, the video should continue.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Good luck with the project!
This works great!, however I can not find "Pause timeline of base layer" therefore the video still plays while on the slide layer.
So I did a Pause media trigger which worked but I have to hit play when it gets back to the video slide :/
What am I missing?
Thanks!
Just got it! Nevermind. Thanks
Hey Mike,
Sorry - I should've posted a little more information on how to go about setting that option. However, I'm glad you were able to find it!
Good luck with the project and have a great day :)
Christine
