Package a recorded webinar as a course in Articulate?

Oct 28, 2013

Hi - I'm looking for the best way to package a recorded webinar as a course using Articulate Storyline.  I've seen folks link from a course to a recorded webinar file to make it play from a slide as they would other video files.

Thanks for any ideas!

Hi Barb, we use WebEx here and I've successfully exported a recording, converted as a .mp4, then imported that into a slide in Storyline. Seemed to work okay. If you are recording software in the webinar and then exporting, the image may not look quite as good as the original due to resolution settings, etc.

Hope that helps.

I have long webinars (1 hour to 1.5 hours) that we can save as mp4 via Camtasia. I am able to import into Articuate Storyline. When I import, the entire mp4 files is inserted on one screen. Is there a way around this? Is there a way to create a click through/eLearning course from an imported mp4 webinar. I suppose I have to chunk the webinar content and insert mp4 chunked video per slide. Any time saving ideas?

I wanted to provide an update and a solution. Using the original webinar files, I was able to upload them (by selecting all the files at once), and add them as media to Adobe Premier Elements. I then converted these files to MP4 for easy upload to Articulate Storyline 2, and to be viewed as a video, with SCORM incomplete/completed tracking.
