Hey everyone. Our html5 publish is not registering the paragraph return (break) in the Notes section and was wondering if there's a work around or special character we can force a paragraph return with?
Attached are 2 images with Source/Publish > Typeface is Arial
Thanks Leslie! Seeing as this has been an issue for more than 2 years, it's safe to say it isn't high on the priority list. ;) Do you know if this is an issue in 360?
Because this bug affects html5, most users probably haven't noticed an issue. But now that browsers are requiring html5, and now that a majority of users are on mobile, this is going to be a major thorn in everyone's side.
So if this bug is fixed in 360, we will have to look at switching the entire team over.
I did, and thank you! However, that only fixes the spacing issue. Unfortunately, the formatting is still off. The font, weight and bullet styles are not working. Unless you have some more code that would fix the entire formatting issue?
If you could share your file, I'd be happy to upgrade it so that you could take a look. You could also download the trial if you wanted to take a look yourself.
Thanks Leslie. One of our employees does have a 360 seat. I'll test it with her and make sure. We might just have to urge our boss to get a seat for the rest of us.
Did not work for me. Maybe I am inserting that code incorrectly. Still, I am wondering if over a year after the original post - Articulate has a more straightforward solution for this.
So, there is a bug in the software, it seems. Due to previous inquiries, it
seems that Articulate was notified about two years ago about it. Is
anything being done about it? If I can't edit notes, it's a big issue with
development.
This spacing still an issue in SL2? I am having this happen, and the Notes text looks bold when it isn't. It all renders fine locally, but once it's hosted somewhere, it turns bold with no paragraph spacing. True of both SCORM and web.
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know that you're running into an issue with this as well.
We have both the issues you mention logged for Storyline 2 when viewing the output in HTML5. I do not have an update to share with you but I did want to mention that we have redesigned our HTML5 output with Storyline 360 and Storyline 3. You can download a free trial and try it out.

Thanks Oscar. Kudos.
Hi Carrol and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! Glad that this post was able to assist you as well and thanks for popping in to share.
We are having this issue as well. Any idea when the bug will be fixed in SL2?
Hi Scott!
We are tracking user impact for this issue.
Since our last update here in this post, we have shared how we handle these reports and you can check out that article here.
I do not have any kind of timeline to offer.

Hi Scott,
Did you see the temporary solution I posted 8 months ago? You may need to go back to page 1 of this post.

Oscar

Scott,
Are you using Storyline 2 or 360?
I've not seen a similar issue for Storyline 360.

I'm using SL2 but one of our employees does have a seat with 360.

Sounds great Scott - please let me know if you need anything further.
Oscar, you are my Notes hero. Thank you!
Thank you Joanne, happy to be of help.

Hi Steve! I see my colleague Katie recently replied to your discussion here, so I wanted to share a link for anyone else following along!
