Parser Warning
Nov 19, 2013
On a regular review of a course, I made one change to a module (edited the title on the player), published and zipped it through Storyline publish function. When I SCORM tested it, I got the Parser warning "The Sequencing Control Mode 'Flow' was detected on a leaf node, but is only applicable to cluster nodes." and it won't move the course to completion. How on earth could editing a title on a player cause that change? Because I did nothing else, honest!

Hi Dorothy,
I have never seen that error message before so I did some searching, and found this older thread and I don't see where Evan submitted a case so that our team could test it as well. If you'd like us to give it a test, please share the original .story file with us here.
Hi,
This has been bothering me so I followed up with Rustici (makers of SCORM) and they provided a solution.
You must open the imsmanifest.xml file and change line 25:
Find this:
<imsss:controlMode choice="true" flow="true"/>
and change to this:
<imsss:controlMode choice="true" flow="false"/>
I have opened a support ticket because this needs to be fixed by you guys so users don't have to do it manually!
Best wishes,
Veronica
Hi Veronica,
Thanks for reaching out here and letting us know that you were working in a Support case. I see that Wilbert confirmed it was an issue reported to our QA team, and I also wanted to share that we've documented it here.
