part of an image to pop up?
Jun 28, 2020
Hi!
I've attached a graphic I want to use in my project. There are 6 pieces of 'pie.'
I would like to do a couple of things:
- Animate the pieces of pie individually as the narrator talks about each piece. This could be greying out the other pieces of pie or making them pop out.
- In another area of the project, I would like the user to be able to click on a piece of pie and 'jump' to that part of the project.
Is this possible and if so, how?

Here is a sample to get you started. I created a gray pie with one slice missing, and placed it over the picture. I set its transparency to a percentage that pleased me, and made states for it.
Frequently in editing states, you can't make certain changes, and I couldn't rotate it while editing. So I have to rotate it, copy it, edit the states, delete the picture that was there, and paste the new rotated version. Click the blue rectangles to see the different states. You can time the state changes to when the narration reaches a certain point.
Then click on the hotspots to jump to another part of the project.
Hi Cindy,
Sure it is possible. Do you have an image editor? Edit the image so that you actually have 6 images. Each image should contain only it's piece of the pie, with the rest of the image transparent. Then you can animate each portion however you want.
As an animator, I do this quite often.

Thank you to you both! :)
