Passing variables to an LMS

Jan 31, 2013

I have been given a hot task to create a quick brief on a topic at work, at the end of the brief, the student is to chose whether to accept or decline something.  We would like to track who accepts and who declines.

My initial thought was to create 1 scene with the info, final slide would be a multiple choice quiz question, with the answers, I Accept, or I Decline.  I accept would be correct, and when chosen would direct them to scene 2 for some information about that choice.   I decline would be false, and direct them to scene 3 with information about that choice.  Then we could track who accepted or declined based on who passed or failed the question basically.  Unfortunately, the feedback box says INCORRECT or CORRECT on it, and in our case, neither answer is correct or incorrect so it is misleading.  Unfortunately that is the only way I can find to branch from quiz answers.

My other idea is that the end slide on scene 1 would have two buttons, accept and decline, if I click accept, it sets a variable to true and it takes me to scene two with more info and I am done.  If I click decline, it  sets the variable to false, and takes me to scene three with other info, and I am done.  My problem here is how to pass that variable state to the LMS and how to make the LMS understand what to do with it once it receives it.

Sorry for the rambling, hope this makes sense, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
