Path animation
Jul 16, 2017
could anyone please let me know how to initialize a path animation when I come back to the slide again.
For Example, an Object is moving from point A to B (freeform). When animation is finished and I go to the next slide and come back to the slide with animation, my moving Object is at point B but not at A, How can I initialize the animation at the beginning point?

Hi Farid
what slide properties do you have set? It should work automatically if the revisit slide properties are set to
Hi Wendy,
Thank you for your quick reply. I have solved the problem. I changed the slide property. Thanks!
Hello Wendy,
I have some other problems:
1. Is it possible to link audios/videos from an outside folder, where the customer likes to change the audio/video without using storyline.
2. I have 52 slides with different 52 audios. Is it possible to ON/OFF all these audios with a single button?
3. Is it possible to build a custom tree menu?
I would appreciate you very much if you could help me.
I built this menu but I cannot clap it.
Hi Farid
I'm not 100% sure what you are doing, however re #1 if they are going to an external website and outside Storyline, they could just use the volume controls on their computer.
This could be the same with #2, however you also have the option of turning on the Volume button in the Player settings. It is on the left down near the bottom on the first screen you land on in the Player settings.
Thanks!
Hallo Herr Bauer,
Ich kann den Kurs im Browser (Firefox) nicht zu machen, wenn ich den EXIT anklicke. Können Sie bitte mir sagen, woran es liegt.

Hi Farid
My surname is German, but I know zero Deutsch ... luckily Google Translate does :) Do you mean you are trying to put in a hyperlink to an external website e.g. in Firefox, Chrome, Explorer. etc?
If so, is it when they click Exit? You could put a trigger on there to launch an external website, and a second trigger to Exit the course. Something you may need to be careful of is if they click the red X in the corner to close the course, this could submit the results of the course to your LMS, however the trigger to launch an external website hasn't been used so therefore it won't work.
Apologies if I have misunderstood your query!
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your quick replay.
I would like to close my course by clicking EXIT button but it does not work in any browser.
Firefox or other Browser blocks the exit.
Do you know how to overcome this problem?
Yours sincerely
Farid
Hey
Maybe you have something on top of it, the trigger is not attached to the button, or there is a condition on the trigger. You might need to upload the file so that one of the lovely experts here can check it out.
Exit button does not work in the browser. Could any body help me to solve the problem. Please find the file attached.
Hi Farid,
What happens when you use the exit button? There are some known reasons here why it may not work, so I'd look into those as well!
Hey Farid!
I did a quick test and your button seems to be working as designed for me when I uploaded your course to SCORM Cloud to test in a learning management system (LMS).
Take a look at it here and let us know if you see anything strange.
If not, take a peek at the article Ashley shared above in the LMS section for a solution on getting it to work in your own LMS.
Keep us posted on how that goes!
Hello,
the problem with the exit button is solved as you adviced.
There is another problem:
After publication audio files are compressed from 360 KB to 13KB. Is there any possibility to avoid this audio compression?

Hey Farid,
So glad your exit button is back on track!
You can adjust compression settings when you publish your course- check out this article for reference.
Let me know if that does the trick ☺️
Also Farid- just wanted to let you know that when replying via email, your email signature carries over to the thread here.
No worries though, you can pop over here and edit that information out if desired!
Thanks, I appreciate you very much.
