Pause Layer on Master Slide Issue

I've added a pause layer on the master slide in order to pause a slide whenever the user interacts with other elements/layers on the slide master. For example, a custom menu or custom resource area. I have found that from time to time the slide will not pause as expected even though the slide layer is triggered. 

I've been able to reproduce this issue consistently.

I've attached the SL1 source. The same issue occurs with SL2.
