Pause Media trigger not working in Storyline 360
Mar 25, 2019
Hello, I am trying to create an interaction where the learner clicks a button that takes them to a layer that plays a video automatically in the slide. I've added a trigger to pause the video at a cue point and then re-play it when they click the back button. There is also a trigger to hide the layer when the video completes playing.
However, once I add the pause media trigger, the video does not play. I've also tried adding a trigger to play the media when the timeline starts, but the pause media trigger seems to be preventing the video from playing.
I am following this tutorial so I know that it should work.
I've attached my file - any idea what I might be missing?

Hi Jennifer,
you're not missing anything, it's all good but you've set your cue point bit too early;
the video stop before the helicopter start moving...
I've moved it a bit an seems to be working fine
Thanks so much! I knew it was something really obvious that I was overlooking.
Actually, I have one follow-up question. Do you know why the video is importing in with a black screen?
Not really actually, but I'll let you know if I find out;
ciao
Hi Jennifer,
It looks like the video you are using starts with a black screen and fades to the helicopter, so you are seeing the first frame.
