Pause Text to Speech on Quiz slides when viewing "Review Results"
Jun 27, 2019
We have text to speech applied to all of our courses, including the quiz slides with some guidance.
Feedback from some of our team has suggested that we remove or replace the audio when they are in the programmed 'review results' section of the course. Does anyone have experience in doing this?
I have attached a Review360 link to prove an example, sorry you will need to complete the scene to be able to see what I am talking about.
This particular example pulls 5 questions from a Question Bank of 14.

I also note that some slides DO re-read the audio, and others don't. Yet every single one of them has been checked as having the same setting on each slide and slide layers. All are also built off the same master.
I look forward to any suggestions or feedback others may have.

Attached is an extract of the storyline file for review if it helps with feedback :)
Hi Kelly,
Odd that some slides would replay the audio and some don't!
Thanks for sharing your file. It looks like you're in good hands with our Support Team, and Lea replied back to you with next steps.
Always in great hands with support – the response was blindingly obvious in
the end… I’d applied it to numerous other slides but for some reason, in my
head, I was thinking of the review results slides as different entities.
Problem solved! Great work Articulate Support!!
So glad that you were able to get the help you needed, Kelly :) Thanks for the update.
Please share with me how to pause Text to Speech on Quiz slides when viewing "Review Results". Thanks!
Hi Yannie!
I looked back to see what did the trick for Kelly, and it looks like we just need a variable and a few triggers.
From there, you should hear the audio play the first time on the question slides.
Thanks so much, Lauren. It works. :)
