I can't find this problem anywhere. When I click on the slide screen my video pauses but the timeline does not. Why is this? I'm just using the built-in seek bar. I do not set up clicking on the screen as an interaction. The only trigger I am using is slide advance at end of timeline.
I believe I might have figured it out. I do not have show video controls selected because I thought that would add a second set of video controls as well as the seek bar from the player. But it seems to not let me just click on the screen to control the play of the video.
Hi Laurie! Welcome to the community. That is the default behavior for videos - clicking the video pauses it. The video control bar and the control bar for the course player are two different things. Do you want to do something specific with either of those?
I just didn't want the viewer to be able to pause the video without pausing the timeline also since I have audio separate from the videos. With everything on the same layer.
When I had this issue I placed a pause button on the main layer that brings up a new layer. In the layer properties select to pause the main layer timeline. Place a play button on the layer to resume play (I put it right on top of the pause button). They may get interrupted while going through the material so this helps. Place anything else on the layer if you wish or just let the default transparency wash out the main layer.
